Chicken Massage - An Easy Plan

When you think of chicken, you think of the classic “bone-in” meal that’s cooked on a hot, indoor oven for hours on end. And while that may be true, there are so many more variations on this theme. One very good example is chicken wings. Made from pieces of wing attached to each other with glue, they are very tasty when seasoned with garlic and olive oil. But how about when you marinate the wings in a delicious lemon and basil butter sauce?

Another great recipe is chicken nachos. Using your own taco dough as the base, shred the pieces of chicken into bite size pieces. Then, add cheese, sour cream, bell pepper, onion, chili powder, and any other ingredients your heart desires. Place in the fridge until ready to eat. You can bake the whole thing in the oven for about an hour at first, but I prefer to let them sit in the sauce for an hour or so before I carve them. When you serve them up, be sure to have a serving bowl by the side.

Another idea is to have a nice bowl of shredded lettuce placed in a zip lock bag and covered with chicken broth. Zip it up so no one can see the contents, but you can add some cheese and pepper to taste. Now you’ve got a wonderful meal that is both fast and easy to make.

If you’re looking for a healthy snack idea, try shredding up a couple of pounds of lean boneless skinless chicken and placing that in a zip lock bag. Remove the skin when the chicken is almost completely cooked, then add a variety of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, etc.) and toss in a little balsamic vinegar and mix thoroughly. Place in the refrigerator and serve with crackers or a piece of whole-wheat bread.

There are literally thousands of combinations you could come up with when it comes to chicken. And there’s no end to what you could do with it. For instance, if you want to go all out and create a Tuscan inspired spread, consider marinating the chicken in olive oil, herbs, Rosemary, garlic and other seasonings. Bake it, serve it on top of pasta, and top off with some crusty bread.

Chicken is also an excellent source of protein. Just be sure to use high quality lean meat. Don’t overcook it. Cook it until it is very tender, then chop it up into smaller pieces before adding it to any kind of soup or stew. Add it to your salads and wraps for a delicious, healthy alternative to lettuce and tomato.
